Finn Johannsen: "In the year 5555
Your arms hangin' limp at your sides
Your legs got nothin' to do
Some machine's doin' that for you"
(Excerpt from the lyrics of 'In The Year 2525', by Zager & Evans, 1969)

"If it is only technology for technology's sake, then we have to question what we all do just to be efficient. To be efficient is not necessarily human. It is something that people have conceived to make time profitable. But if you go to a club, the best experience you can have is that time is transcended. And if you are there and a person is working a laptop and does not look at you, it is not much of physical act. It also has to do something with your hands. You have to use your hands and your mind to create something. If the motions of your hands are no longer needed there will be a computer someday that you plug into your neck. You come to the gig, switch on, and you just stand there."
(Theo Parrish interviewed by Finn Johannsen for de:bug magazine, July 2007)

"I prefer grooves to displays."
